Introduction
Elements are broadly classified into metals , non metals and inhert gases on the basis of their physical and chemical properties, If we survey the presently known 116 elements, more than 80 of them are metals. Elements of s-block, d-block and f-block present in the periodic table are mostly metals. We have also a few metals in the p-block elements. Here we deal with the occurrence, extraction, properties ans uses of a few metals.
